Boat Overview
A 2005 Etap 26i from Etap Yachting in Belgium. This 2001 model features a 4 berth "unsinkable" design, providing great thermal insulation, and is a comfortable and dry family cruiser with excellent layout and sailing ability.
The self-tacking jib makes her very easy to sail single-handed or with inexperienced crew.
The engine has just been serviced, and she has been anti-fouled (07/2020). She's currently in the water and ready to go.
Additional features include warm air heating, hot and cold pressurized water, and a 2019 full cockpit enclosure. She also boasts all the clever Etap design features.
The hull was soda-blasted, primed, and gel-coated in 2016, and is now copper-coated as of 2022. Non-slip decking was completely replaced with Mastertread in 2022.

Accommodation
4 good-sized berths in 2 cabins; the berths in the saloon are great for taller crew, with good stowage above and below. There is an opening hatch to the foredeck and a table that raises and lowers.
The galley is to port and includes a two-burner gas hob, cool box, and stainless steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water. There is good stowage above and below. The teak and holly saloon cabin floor is in good order, as is the upholstery.
A door leads to the aft cabin with a double berth and good stowage, including hanging and stowage lockers, with two opening ports.
The navigation area is opposite the galley to starboard with useful stowage.
The heads compartment is aft to starboard with a sea toilet, vanity unit with pressurized fresh water supply, wet locker, and stowage. There is an opening port for ventilation.
The interior features full lighting with curtains, making it light and airy. Steps lead up from the saloon to a self-draining cockpit, which has comfortable seating and stowage underneath.
Sails and Rig
Main: 2011 Kemp Performance cruise, cross-cut in Fastnet Dacron; fully-battened with a stack pack system and lazyjacks.
Genoa: 2011 Kemp Performance cruise, cross-cut in Fastnet Dacron with UV strip; on Furlex 200s furler. Self-tacking on track.
A new rod kicker was installed in 2016.
7/8'ths fraction mast by Selden with a single set of aft-swept spreaders; no backstay needed with this clever design.
All control lines are led aft, with a removable main sheet track, bowsprit, and anchor roller.
Electrical
12v/240v system with 2 batteries (85Ah) charged by the engine alternator.
Electric fuel gauge at the chart table.
Heating: Eberspacher Airtronic D2 warm air heating - with a new ICU fitted in 2018.
