17 foot lifting keel catboat designed by Charles Wittholz and built by me, launching in May 2009.
This is a “character” boat which performs well under sail or outboard power; reaching an easy 6 knots under both.
The spacious cabin houses 2 berths, sink, stove and chemical toilet.
With a beam of 8 feet the boat is exceptionally stable, and wide side decks allow for safe movement forward for sail handling, mooring and anchoring.
Draft with plate up is just 2 feet or 4ft 6 ins with plate down.
An excellent galvanised yard trailer is included. The trailer can be re-fitted with the braking system for road use. All new parts needed to do this are included.
The boat has always been sailed single handed although the spacious cockpit can comfortably accommodate 6 people for day sailing.
This is a very attractive craft and one which I do sell very reluctantly.
If the outboard motor is not required the price can be reduced by £600.
A very reliable low mileage 4 horse 4 stroke Tohatsu outboard is also available if required.
Sail, spars, fenders, anchor, chain etc are of course included.
The boat is currently being painted and anti-fouled for summer 2025 and will be afloat at Groomsport, Co. Down from early May.
